<p>In this film, short excerpts from copyrighted Disney films are assembled to humorously explain the <a title="Fair Use" href="http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyright_and_Fair_Use_Overview/chapter9/index.html" target="_blank">fair use principle</a> in copyright law and to give examples of when copyrighted material can be used by an individual. For a recent example of of how the fair use principle has been used in law, look at the case between artist Shepard Fairey and the Associated Press over ownership of the <a title="Shephard Fairey case" href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/10/arts/design/10fair.html?_r=2" target="_blank">&#8216;Obama Hope&#8217;</a> campaign poster image. (See the <a title="Fair Use" href="http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/fair-use-project" target="_blank">Stanford Fair Use Project</a> for more information about this.)</p>
<p>This delightful film was created by <a title="Eric Faden" href="http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/efaden/" target="_blank">Eric Faden</a>, Associate Professor of English &amp; Film/Media Studies at Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.</p>
