10 Seconds or Greater by Rachel Reupke

Date: 22 January | Location: Picture This, Bristol

Reupke was awarded the Film London 2009 Bristol Mean Time Residency during which this work was produced in the Picture This Atelier.

10 Seconds or Greater is a single-screen video installation. Formally based on the production of royalty-free stock footage, 10 Seconds or Greater maps the logical progression of a director through a check list of popular scenarios designed to illustrate such commercially lucrative concepts as ‘communication’, ‘relaxation’ and ‘healthy life-style’.

The Exhibition preview is on from 6-9pm, admission free. There will be a joint after party with Spike Island 9-11pm at the Spike Café. DJ’s: Paul O’Neill, Pil & Galia Kollectiv and Understudy Inferior.
