The 2010 round of FLAMIN Productions is now open. The fund has up to £130,000 available to fund up to five large scale, single-screen moving image projects which represent a major new step in an artist’s practice.
Up to 15 artists will be shortlisted and invited to tender for investment of between £20,000 and £50,000 per project. The shortlisted projects will have access to a substantial bespoke development programme, matching experienced mentors and advisors to the individual needs of the artist/project as well as providing additional development funding.
FLAMIN Productions is for artists who are working with the moving image as their chosen medium, producing work which draws on the legacy of both fine art and film. The fund will support mid-career artists who have some experience in making moving image work. FLAMIN Productions prioritises projects which represent a significant leap in an artist’s practice and can be screened and/or exhibited widely.
Deadline for applications: 1 July. More information can be found via the FLAMIN Productions section of the website.
Five projects have now been greenlit to receive production funding through the 2009 round of FLAMIN Productions. The selected artists are Phil Coy, Charlotte Ginsborg, Anja Kirschner & David Panos, Elizabeth Price and Ben Rivers.
