Rabbit Punch, Kristian Andrews

Encounters Short Film Festival celebrates new talent in filmmaking and provides a platform for emerging filmmakers to screen their work. In 2009 over 150 films screened in competition over five days with newcomer Kristian Andrews winning the 4mations International Newcomer in Animation Award for his MA graduation film Rabbit Punch. Filmmakers take note that submission to the festival is now open and the deadline is 30 June.

UK-based animators interested in showcasing their work at Annecy International Film Festival and Market should check out a support package offered by South West Screen to help with the cost of joining the UK Animation Stand. Applications must be returned by 21 April.
