OffOn by Scott Bartlett

Scott Bartlett made this documentary in 1980 of a recreation of OffOn that he created with a class at UCLA to use as a teaching tool. It is a wonderful insight into how the methods we take for granted today, were constructed with low-fi methods, along with snippets of what led him down the experimental video path. OffOn is a film by Bartlett made in 1967 that experiments in videographic techniques not far off the effects of music promos and vj footage today.

See the original film on YouTube.
