Properller4film

Propeller4film is a new online short film database created by short film channel, Propeller TV. The idea came from British animator and filmmaker John Offord and launched just last week. The site offers free access to a catalogue of around 250 of the very best short films and growing by a target of 50 new additions a month.  The ‘Screening Room’ is sectioned into different genres but also features a ‘Moodbox’ where the audience can select their current mind inclination and the database will produce appropriate films. The how are you feeling today? selector may be perhaps a little gimmicky, but it could prove useful for finding those gems when aimlessly browsing. The site also has a ‘Cutting Room’ area a useful tool for filmakers to get the inside knowledge on where to find funding, production documentation and distribution help.
