Lovebytes - We Love Technology

Date: 12 February | Location: Electric Works, Sheffield

We Love Technology presents the latest adventures in the creative use and misuse of emerging technology. Part of the Lovebytes festival, the one day event involves ten informal presentations by pioneering artists, designers and technologists exploring the theme of digital craft. The guest speakers include: Mehmet Akten, Simon Blackwell, James Boardwell, David ‘Sanch’ Dessens, Crispin Jones.

Lovebytes was established in 1994 to explore the creative and cultural potential of digital technologies and to encourage people in Sheffield and the UK to engage with global creative digital culture. Lovebytes has grown to become an important international platform for new work and new ideas. The organisation commissions and promotes experimental and innovative new work by both new and established artists, designers, technologists and creative developers.

The event runs between 10.30 am – 4.30 pm at the Electric Works, Sheffield Digital Campus, Sheffield S1 2BJ. Tickets, which includes refreshments and buffet lunch, cost £20. For booking click here.
