Diary of a Madman by Gogol, adapted by Tim Lenkiewicz
Dates: 12 & 13 February, 8pm | Location: Jackson Lane Theatre, London
Nikolai Gogol’s Diary of a Madman had been adapted by Tim Lenkiewicz giving a contemporary twist to a classic tale. Poprishchin, the anti-hero is still utterly bizarre and delusional trying to scratch his way through a world that makes no sense to him nor offers him. Lenkiewicz offers acrobatics and animation through which to understand his psychosis.
The work comes as a result of 2 weeks R&D with Ali Temple (acrobat), Lisa Marker (designer) and Emma Seach (animator). Still a work-in-progress, feedback is welcomed. Here’s your chance to be part of what promises to be some of London’s contemporary theatre.
Tickets: £ 8 from Jackson Lane.
