UK Film Council Public Consultation

The Guardian’s Arts Diary briefly reports that “proposals” have been drawn up for the merger of the UK Film Council and the British Film Institute, “mooted” last year. Meanwhile, UK Film Council’s public consultation on its policies and plans for the next three years ends on 9 February. You can have your say via a survey. Though they’re already putting some of this into action..with “experimental films” being part of the remit for three new Production Executive posts. Apply here by 1 February.

The Guardian asks whether the new outfit is “to become a cultural organisation with a film-enterprise arm, or a film-enterprise organisation with a cultural arm.” A friend points out that culture can be enterprising.
