The Terrible Thing of Alpha 9 by Jake Armstrong

The Terrible Thing of Alpha 9 is a wonderful short film by Jake Armstrong. Created at the School of Visual Arts, Armstrong brings an interesting twist on a recognizable narrative, referencing old sci-fi shows and comic books. The characters are charming and the design excellent with well considered drawings and a dusty warm palette. It will leave you with a chuckle.

You can watch The Terrible Thing of Alpha 9 on Cartoon Brew and also read Armstrong’s comments on making the film. He also has a blog where he shares his thoughts whilst in production.
