Black Lake by David O'Reilly & Jon Klassen

Not to be confused with the 1976 B-movie Creature from the Black Lake, this Black Lake is a much more refined and delightful fellow; a dreamy short film that leads the viewer on a journey around a limitless 3D universe. This collaboration between Irish animator David O’Reilly and LA based illustrator Jon Klassen, came from this year’s If You Could Collaborate matchmaking project, run by the chaps at ItsNiceThat. The film was made for gallery installation and can be watched looped if you right-click over the video on Vimeo.
